MCE has developed a system which, should a lift be blocked, sends out an alarm to the operative exchange and enables the vocal communication between the operator and the lift passengers.
The system complies with the requirements of Norm EN 81-28.
Systems operations
When the emergency button is presses, the system sends out an alarm, automatically, to telephone numbers (maximum 12) which were memorized during the system installation. A message, which was pre-recorded during the installation, informs the receiver where the plant, from which the call was made, is located.
A led signals that the alarm has been correctly received.
Vocal communication (through hand-free unit) between passengers and one operator is activated.
The vocal communication may start on the land line or on a GSM line.
The vocal communication may start on the land line or on a GSM line.
A buffer battery enables the system operation, even if the line power supply is not available.
As prescribed by EN-81-28 norm, the system can do periodic calls for tests.
System programming can be done using a telephone receiver.
Some additional functions are available:
• a display to visualize messages in case of alarm. It may be used during the system configuration operations and, when GSM is available, to visualize advertising SMS
• input and output signals for the remote opening of the door of the building in which the system is installed (in case of alarm activation)
• an expansion card (inputs and outputs). The additional signals may be used to visualize on the display useful information for the passengers or for auxiliary alarms.
