Passenger Information Systems

MCE designs and manufactures PIS – Passenger Information Systems.

With this system it is possible to send out:

• messages on displays;

• messages on loud-speakers (automatic or manual mode);

• background music.

The programming and command of the system may be done from an operator interface. The operation by means of an interphone is included as well.

The system is based on two types of control units:

• master control units;

• slave control units.

The remaining components of the system are:

• operator interface (key-board + display);

• coaches internal and external displays;

• interphone (head-phone and push-buttons);

• loud-speakers.

Passenger Information System Operation

Messages on loud-speakers and on displays may be sent out:

• in automatic mode (according to the route of the train);

• in manual mode (selected among pre-memorized messages, classified in various types);

• from an interphone.

The pre-hearing mode is available for pre-memorized messages.
